Dallas Florence grew up in South Florida working construction alongside his father. From an early age, the work wasn't a job — it was a way of thinking. How a site comes together. How a structure rises from raw earth. How every decision made early in a build either protects or undermines what comes after.
He built his first single-family residence in the 1990s. Over the next two decades, he expanded across residential types — custom homes, spec development, multifamily — building a reputation in Broward County for direct owner involvement and delivered results.
The milestone that defined DEM Development's positioning was the 4-unit townhome development in West Park — a 6,000 SF ground-up multifamily project managed entirely under direct owner oversight, from permitting through certificate of occupancy. That project demonstrated what DEM was built to do at scale.
